Target Ball Challenge
Target
Ball Challenge is a fun and challenging activity designed to test
a participant’s football or golfing skills. At fetes and festivals,
it can work as a stand-alone attraction that draws the crowds, but
it also has tremendous potential for use by schools
and community groups as a fund raising activity.
The key to its use by schools, clubs and other
groups is team building. As a fund raising exercise, it enables
everyone to play an active part in the team’s success, regardless
of their individual sporting prowess. Achievement is recognised
not only in terms of points scored but also in terms of the efforts
made to gain sponsorship. Thus, everyone can be involved and make
an important contribution to the team’s collective achievement.
Whether the teams are organised according to
their age group, school class or some other distinction, the emphasis
is on co-operation and collective effort. The winning group will
receive a commemorative trophy to keep, and some individual awards
will also be made to acknowledge outstanding achievement as a points-scorer
or fund raiser.
In short, Target Ball Challenge from PJ Sports
and Leisure is entertaining, it helps encourage teamwork and co-operation
and it is rewarding at many different levels. It can also be an
effective way for groups to raise badly needed funds and has some
important additional benefits for children in schools. (See
Information for Schools for further details.)
