About PJ Sports & Leisure

With many years of sports coaching experience behind us, we understand the demands of working with children and the requirements of schools, sports clubs, youth groups and other organisations. We are therefore well equipped to develop and organise fund raising activities that are perfectly suited to your needs.

We can operate throughout the North West and even further afield if necessary, and we can work both indoors and out according to the weather and the facilities available.

Coaches:

James Webster
James is an ex-professional footballer with QPR and Burnley and has been involved in sport since an early age. A qualified FA Coach he is also a PGA Professional. After studying for a degree at the Belfry Ping Golf Academy, James attained the level three coaching certificate, the top coaching award from the PGA. Now running his own golf academy, (PJ Golf) James coaches both children and adults and is a teaching professional at Lancashire’s prestigious Myerscough and Stoneyhurst colleges. Taking golf into schools is the latest venture of PJ Sport’s sister company, the UK Multi Sports Academy, through which James is introducing young children to golf in both curriculum time and through after school activities. Playing at the highest level, James brings a range of sporting experience to PJ Sports.

Purves Ali, MIBA MCIM
With 20 years experience of running successful businesses, training and advising small businesses in Lancashire, Purves’ skills complement the sports qualifications and experience of the team. In addition to his business expertise, Purves also has 8 years’ experience coaching local community sports teams, and enjoys great success with Huncoat United's Under 10 football squad. He played semi-professional football, boxed for Lancashire and has sports coaching experience and qualifications in football, boxing, racket sports and cricket.

Peter Duckworth
Peter is a qualified football coach and is currently working with Manchester United F C. He has expertise in teaching other sports and runs a successful business in football coaching in the Lancashire area, delivering to schools and local clubs within the targeted regions.

Philip Webster
Father of James, Philip has over 25 years' experience in commercial sales management, working at a senior level with a major blue chip company in the service sector. Football has played a major part in Phil’s life and he will provide support, advice and direction to PJ Sports' young team, taking responsibility for PR and business development.
