Fund Raising for Schools and Clubs
PJ
Sports was established by sports professionals with many years’
experience of working with children in schools and youth groups.
(See our ‘About Us’
page for details of individual staff members.) As a result, we understand
the requirements of educational institutions and can demonstrate
all the necessary approvals, insurance and competence to deliver
our services safely, responsibly and in full accordance with the
law.
- We work within the National Curriculum.
- We work with local schools in the north west area.
- We work with the PE departments in these schools.
- We help school children to improve levels of co-ordination,
balance, endurance and speed.
All of our coaches are accredited with the relevant
national sporting bodies. We have coaches working with Manchester
United Development Centre and all of our coaches are CRB checked.
They are also all qualified First Aiders.
We also work closely with our sister company,
the UK
Multi Sports Academy, which works with schools across the North
West, to introduce fundamental skills and Long Term Athlete Development
(LTAD) to Key Stages 1,2,3 and 4 in sport.
Values:
PJ Sports was established on the principle
that success breeds confidence, and we strive to ensure that every
child, whatever their level of ability, feels a sense of real achievement
through participation in our activities. By combining the challenges
of fund raising and sporting performance, we provide an environment
in which everyone has the opportunity to make a positive contribution.
Out of this come many benefits, including:
- Higher self-esteem
- Less susceptibility to stress and depression
- More exercise
- Better concentration and behaviour
- A sense of team spirit and belonging
Fundraising Potential:
The level of funds that can be raised through
our sports activities depends upon pupil numbers, but we have found
that sums of between £10 and £15 per pupil are perfectly
achievable. All costs of promotional material, equipment and sponsorship
documents are born by ourselves. The proceeds of the activity are
divided equally between the school and PJ Sports & Leisure.
